Problem: When attempting to open Google Play Store application closes.
Solution: If you are using an unofficial ROM, make sure you've installed the correct Gapps. When properly installed, you must restart your phone to the factory settings, this will make Google update your applications automatically and the error should be resolved.
If you have restarted your mobile and still have no solution, then you have to manually install Google applications.
