How I can fix the error "Package file is invalid" when installing or upgrading Android?

Play Google and Android applications sometimes are not installed correctly and show the error "package file is invalid". You can check Google page for more information and updates, but meanwhile, here are some steps that have helped other Evernote users. 

 

First: Try changing your internet connection 

 

This error is sometimes related to your Internet connection. Turn off Wi-Fi and download the application or updates to the mobile data connection or a Wi-Fi connection differently. 

 

Then: uninstall it and reinstall it 

 

Just uninstall and reinstall the application or update. 

 

Next: Delete the data from your Google Play Store and the cache: 

 

1. Open Settings> Manage Applications> All Applications> Google Play Store> Delete data and delete cache 

If this does not work, uninstall updates Play Store: 

 

1-Open Settings> Manage Applications> All Applications> Google Play Store> Uninstall updates 

2-Log out of your Google account Play Store and re-enter. Reboot your device. 

 

3-Open Settings> Manage applications> All applications> Locate the Google Services Framework> Trashing data 

 

If this does not work for advanced users have suggested this technique forces which downloads a VPN application: 

 

Download the VPN application Hideman Play Store, or if this does not work try to download APK Hideman in Google 

Hideman Open VPN and connect to the VPN server from any of the countries listed 

Play Google Opens Store and download the application

hello friends also this same thing happening to me and I'm crazy because I can not download or whasthaps or without whasthap twitter and I will say we do with the phone .. asiesqe friends please if you find a way to fix that please comment and tested around and no way. Is there any way to contact google to see if they give us some explanation? thanks friends

please try the following:

1. Go to MENU
2. Go to settings
3. Go to applications
4. Look at ALL download manager
5. disable it then enable it again.

Menu-> Settings-> Applications-> All-> Download Manager (disable it and enable it again).

I have read and done everything listed, including deletion of the cache with a program called Clean Master q. As there is no way to stop the process or stop it seems the problem is resolved. I've even come to uninstall programs that have to do with Google and re-install. As there is no way to fix it. I have a Samsung Galaxy SII.
If you can help I'd appreciate it.

This error began to appear in August on some computers with Android 4.2 when trying to download apps Store Play Store.
