Although it is possible that you can not uninstall some preloaded apps, yes you can hide and disable them. This will hide the menu the application and no updates are made.
To hide or disable preloaded applications, follow these steps:
From any Home screen, tap Applications.
Touch Settings.
Scroll down to "PHONE" then tap Applications.
Swipe left to see ALL screen.
Press and hold the desired application.
Press Off.
Press OK.
