Google released Android 5.0 Lollipop several weeks ago and already beginning to seep upgrade plans from different manufacturers. Most brands first update its top models, and then focus on other intermediates. For Samsung , the model before receive Android 5.0 Lollipop would be the Samsung Galaxy S5 , and so indicate the latest leaks. Currently, the company is still upgrading their equipment to Android 4.4.4 KitKat, but already beginning to see indications about what will be the next major update. The website of the US operator Sprint said recently that the update was already in the testing phase and now XDA Developers has filtered the new version, but yes, is exclusive to customers of this operator. According to the known forum, which has posted the link to download the new version is in a very early stage, so that the final version could still be long in coming, but it is still a good sign. Samsung already launched to offer all the improvements Android 5.0 Lollipop and could have them ready before the end of the year.

For now Samsung has not confirmed anything about the release date of the update, but we do know that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is on the top of the list, along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 , the two leading models of its catalog. There are rumors that they plan to start launching the OTA update next December , although they are the most optimistic . As mentioned, the version for Sprint that has leaked, is still far from the final version and the launch could be delayed until early next year. In addition, the upgrade process will take place in a gradual in different countries and also for operators. The unlocked variants (no contract with an operator) are often the first to receive new versions. In XDA Developers discourage the installation because it has many faults and also forces a full restore of the device, erasing all stored data.

Samsung is in full development, integrating its TouchWiz interface on the new version, which also debuts a new interface. Android 5.0 Lollipop has a simplified design and offers intuitive operation. It will be interesting to see how they will unify the concept of Material Design of Google with his own. Once the first teams to update, Samsung will focus on other models such as the Samsung Galaxy Alpha or the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge , which also were presented recently. The delay in updates is one of the disadvantages of Android , especially if your smartphone is not one of the most advanced. However, this time it seems that the main manufacturers are trying to shorten the wait as much as possible, let's hope they succeed.
