How to change the hard drive on a MacBook

Shut down your MacBook. Disconnect the power adapter, Ethernet cable, USB cables, security cable and any other cables connected to the MacBook to avoid damaging it and also yourself @ as you can electrocute you if you manipulate the MacBook while connected to the network supply.

The MacBook's hard drive is located next to the integrated battery. The new album should be 2.5 inches and having a connector Serial ATA (SATA).

Flip the MacBook Pro and remove the 10 screws that secure the bottom case of your MacBook. Remove the shorter screws at the corners as shown in the illustration. Lift the cover and set it aside.

Before touching the hard drive of your MacBook should discharge static electricity from your body by touching a metal surface inside the computer.
 
 
 
Locate the bracket on the top of the MacBook hard drive. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two captive screws that secure the bracket.
 
Use the finger grip to tilt the disc slightly.
 
Hold the hard drive by its sides and gently pull the connector on the left side of the disc to disconnect. Do not push with your fingers and try not to touch the
circuitry on the underside of the disc.

The connector is attached to a cable and remains in the hard drive compartment. There are 4 mounting screws on the sides of the hard disk. If the new drive does not include mounting screws, remove the old drive and place them in the back before installing.

Couples the connector to the left side of the new hard drive and insert the new disk at an angle and make sure the mounting screws are in place.
 
The last step to change the hard drive of MacBook is place holder, tighten the screws and replace the housing.
