Why does Facebook crash after opening a users profile page ?

Samsung  tab 3 10.1 .    Android version 4.4.2 , Wed Aug 6 17:49 Kst 2014. Build no. K0T49H.P5210XXUBNH1

   Facebook : Version 17.0.0.23.16.

Did a factory data reset and reloaded all apps.  No luck

Disabling Java, clearing cookies and cache has worked for me
