FaceTime and iMessage are two excellent services introduced by Apple in iOS makes a couple of versions. Naturally, being a service for communication between iOS devices, has not had the same impact as other instant messaging applications such as Whatsapp or Line.

Otherwise, are two excellent options to keep in touch with friends via Internet (WiFi or 3G). Of course, while we can use iMessage with a halfway decent Internet connection, FaceTime requires a stable WiFi connection or 3G without disrupting the video call as smooth as possible.

Possible Solutions to repair problems FaceTime or iMessage on the iPad or iPad Mini

With the advent of iOS 7 users have reported that some services iMessage or FaceTime does not work as well as before the update or simply are no longer functioning. So far Apple has not communicated anything officially, but we assume that if this is a widespread problem should not take long to publish a solution.

Meanwhile, we leave a number of steps that could solve your problems with these two services, without having to resort to the "painful" restoring your device.

Disable and re-enable iMessage and FaceTime

Although it seems an obvious solution, often behind it can be found to your problems.

1. So we headed to Settings - Posts and uncheck the box that says "iMessage".

facetime dosent work

2. Now we repeat the process but with Settings - FaceTime and unchecking the first box that says "FaceTime".

3.-After waiting a few minutes, we repeat the two previous steps but this time returning to activate both services.

Hard reset the iPad or iPad Mini

1.-Before starting the process, you must ensure that the device is connected to a WiFi network.

2. Now we simultaneously press the Home button and the button to turn off our iPad. After a few seconds the apple logo appears on your screen and you can release them.

3.-After reboot, check whether the touch iMessage and FaceTime services back to normal.

As we have seen in iPadItalia, we also see that if we activated the device restrictions, these are not blocking both services. To check this we go to Settings - Restrictions and if there are any restrictions that may affect off.

Facetime and iMessage are two excellent services introduced by Apple that allow us to communicate with other iOS users using the internet connection. For example, you can make a FaceTime video call while using iMessage can send text messages to other users that have properly set up the service.
Two excellent and convenient alternative that will allow you to stay in touch with your friends-which also possess an Apple device with iOS aggiornato- without having to spend additional credit. It works, in fact, through a simple internet connection, 3G or wifi that is. Obviously, for Facetime, you need a pretty decent connection, otherwise the video will not be smooth.
Assuming that in the past have successfully activated both services and now, even after updating to iOS 7've noticed a malfunction of one or both services, iMore has published two simple checks to do before you perform a reset of the device. Many people, in fact, in order to solve a problem quickly, as do a restore erasing all the data on the device, thinking that maybe it is the most immediate and painless. Instead ...
Below are two simple tests to be performed:

disable and enable Facetime and / or iMessage settings:

1-launched a video phone settings by clicking on the icon depicting the gears;

2-scroll down the screen until Entries Messaging and / or Facetime;

3-off for a few minutes on the service does not work by clicking on the toggle (switch from green to white to pass);

4-After waiting a few minutes to reactivate the iMessage service and / or Facetime placing the toggle again to green;

5-wait for it to re-enable the service and read any message shown on the screen with an appropriate response.

forced reboot (hard reboot) the device:

Before proceeding, connect your device to a wifi network;

press simultaneously the "Home" and power on / off of your device;

wait for the Apple logo which will be displayed on the screen;
if even after rebooting, the related services Facetime and iMessage still do not work, try again the first step of this short and simple guide.

Warning: if you have previously activated the restrictions, Messages and FaceTime icons may not be active. Deactivated before the restrictions by going to "Settings" -> "Restrictions" -> "Account" and click on "Allow changes."
If you have had similar problems, if you have resolved, and if you know other more efficient methods, share with us your experiences via comments.
