If you have a smartphone with KitKat 4.4.2 and are having problems with the SD card card, then I'll tell you how to fix them.
Devices with Android 4.4.2 are increasingly subject to the laws of the almighty Google, so much so that the trend seems we can not write data to a micro SD card. As in the terminals of the Nexus range, Google aims to exploit the "cloud" with Drive, instead favoring the use of these cards, but luckily it is possible to re-enable these permissions in Android 4.3 operating without problem. In my case (I have a Galaxy S3) I've Uploaded 2 SD cards trying that ROMS the KitKat recognize me, but I ended up giving the appropriate key.

To use this application must have the rooted device, so if it is not your case and are slow to do so. If you want you can cuddle the tutorials section, or search on the web to see if I wrote an article on how to root your device.
Assuming you're root and superuser permissions have, what we will unburden Play Store an app called SDFix: KitKat Writable SD Card (You see the name already makes clear)
Reactivar permisos de escritura en Android 4.4.2

Once installed, the execute and see the steps as shown in the image above. If all went well the writing process will be reinstated and asked to reboot your smartphone. Initially, any problems you had to write on the micro SD card should be resolved.

What makes SDFix: KitKat Writable SD Card?
Basically what it does is revive writable by changing the etc / permissions / platform.xml hence the need to be Root, otherwise not have access to this folder of files, similar to what happens with Windows and its managers.
By adding a few lines of code in this file, "fools" Android 4.4.2 and makes you think it is still 4.3 but only the effect of reviving the permissions on external memory cards. One quality certainly should not be missed as much as Google wants us to use your data storage service in the cloud, Google Drive.
If instead you are having problems with the camera in KitKat using Cyanogenmod ROM, you can have a look at the solution.
So if you're having problems or doubts, this tutorial should clarify them. Leave me a comment below to see if it worked for you. greetings
