Windows 2000 (like XP) has a converter FAT32 partitions to NTFS with the intention of you who are upgrading from Windows 98 or Me can transform your partitions to NTFS without formatting. However, the reverse option is not contemplated, since NTFS partitions have better performance and security. If a user already has NTFS and needs to reverse pitch, have to resort to third-party utilities such as Partition Magic from PowerQuest (h ** p: //www.powerquest.com). If you do not already have it, buy version 7.0 (13,456 PTA, € 80.87), it is the only one that also supports NTFS partitions of Windows XP, since the format has been upgraded to NTFS 3.1. With this program you simply press the right mouse button on a partition and choose Convert ..., the only option available to change the file system is FAT32, so click OK to begin the conversion
