Hello everyone. I have encountered many people who formulated this question: how to delete or block a contact WhatsApp? I do not seem so easy at first sight.

If you want to delete a contact from whatsapp follow these steps:

The contacts you have on WhatsApp are downloaded directly from the contact address book - no way to remove them directly from WhatsApp.

To delete a contact from the contact list of WhatsApp, you have to delete the contact from the phone's address book.

To find the contact on WhatsApp in the address book of the phone:

Locate and select the contact in the address book
Click on the contact.
Click on the name at the top.
On the contact information, go to Menu button> See address book.
From there you can find the option to delete the contact from your address book.
Then update the contact list WhatsApp, open WhatsApp >> [Menu Button]> [Refresh]

If you still see the contact, chances are that what you have is the conversation in the chat screen. Simply press and hold the contact, then select [Remove talk] to clear a chat.

I have a fondness for the big bike, for one reason or another I have been renewing parts of my bike and selling those that had, in ads commented that I whatsapp to make it cheaper to talk and have a more fluid conversation and any time for free.
Well, to be located to the person who contacts me and so I know who to turn, I keep contact in the phonebook to use the mentioned chat.
Well, when to conclude the negotiations on my sales, I try to delete the contact from the phonebook and indeed it does in part, and I'll explain .... When you save contact me keep it in duplicate, here it comes the curious, one normal contact telephone and other user of WhatsApp, and in itself sounds strange to be two contacts with the same name asks me if I want to link them and to do well but if I want to delete only cleared me of the agenda, keeping the WhatsApp, otherwise I link the same can I delete one but WhatsApp no, also if I want to edit contact me a message which says shows "the contact information Whatsapp ne can be edited in this device. " I forgot my terminal is a Sony Xperia S.

My question is: How can I remove those contacts whatsapp when in the phone book does not exist? Does this happen for some terminal configuration?

I hope you can work out the doubts. Thanks in advance

A greeting

Hello Raxu,
Same thing happened to me. To fix it I had to go into the phone menu to "Contacts"> here you open the options "Open Account Settings" then select "Whatsapp" You have to reopen the options (usually appear with three dots) and see that you appear the option to "Sync Now" or "delete" you give "clear". You will see that you appear a warning message and give it to "delete account".
Once deleted, you will have to repeat steps "Contacts"> here you open the options "Open Account Settings" once here have to give the button "+" and reselect Whatsapp. You a message saying that "The account has been added Whatsapp" message appears.

With this my will I be able to remove those contacts hung in limbo ..

Q I hope you work ..

Hi,

The truth may be a very valid option to uninstall the Whatsapp, but IMHO is a patch for the problem will persist, and what will you be doing, uninstall the program every X months ?.
The truth seems to me a good idea what you propose but rather give another solution, as I consider to be a failure of Whatsapp or terminal (I declined more for the latter). Soon I change my terminal and most likely will not again take a Xperia, but what if I am convinced it is to continue with Android.

A greeting and thanks for the advice
