Activation problem solution iMessage and FaceTime
Some users have reported problems ios 7 to activate Facetime and iMessage on your newly updated iPhone. Some of the initial activation errors are probably given because of the great demand simultaneous endured Apple's servers, but it seems that some users are still experiencing this problem after updating to iOS 7.
Most error messages activation of Facetime and iMessage are included in these two cases: either the device gets stuck in the message "Waiting for activation ..." or skip a popup like we have in the picture above.
So we will try to help resolve this type of error message. Following these steps in order to activate you should your services smoothly. We started!
1. Confirm that the ID is set to Apple iMessage and FaceTime
The first thing is to confirm that the email and the phone we have set in iMessage and FaceTime is correct. We can verify this as follows:
We go to Settings -> Messages -> Send and Receive. Here we have all the ways in which they can contact us iMessage.
Facetime
We go to Settings -> Facetime and as before, we see that the directions and the phone are correct.
2. Enable and Disable Services
In the same place we were before we can activate and deactivate iMessage and FaceTime. Try to disable the service after a few seconds and turn it back on. Still you are giving activation error? We spent the next point.
3. Reset network settings
To reset the network settings (you have to re-enter the password for WiFi), we must do the following:
We go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings
This will reset the device, so if you have configured an access code to get you what you ask. When finished restart, retry activate iMessage and FaceTime to see if it works.
4. Restart
If we consider that an iPhone is a small computer, we can also try the universal solution for these devices: Restart. Try restarting the phone to see if that solves.
Still not working? Restores
In particularly difficult situations you may have to restore from a backup. Another thing you can try is to reset the device to factory defaults, activate Facetime and iMessage and then load the backup.
If all else fails, we can always go to AppleCare, but surely they also do a restore. And as ill-advised action, we can create a new Apple ID but, considering everything that is associated with the Apple ID is not a good option.
