After many rumors, denials, more rumors and announcements of new versions of terminals, OnePlus seems to have taken a step forward and confirm your final break with CyanogenMod after publishing his first version of Android 5.0 Lollipop for OnePlus One.

A few weeks ago, from OnePlus launched a contest to choose the name of your new Rom as everyone rumored, would be developed directly by OnePlus and not by CyanogenMod, which meant breaking announced.

Yesterday, users of a OnePlus One awoke to good news new year. OnePlus launched the first version of his rom for OnePlus One based on Android 5.0 Lollipop rather Cyanogen like to enconces, representing the first touchdown of OnePlus One with Android 5.0 Lollipop officially.

That if, from OnePlus make it clear that this first version of Android 5.0 Lollipop is an alpha version, ie the basis to work on a final and stable rom for our terminals, which, as usual, we experience some bugs with this rom.

If you want to try Android 5.0 on your OnePlus Lollipop One can install the new rom on your mobile in the easiest way possible, that is, from a custom recovery -> DOWNLOAD ANDROID 5.0 LOLLIPOP

As mentioned, the rom you can install from a custom recovery from OnePlus recommend TWRP Recovery.

Install TWRP Recovery:

To install a custom recovery on our mobile OnePlus One, the first thing we have to do is open the bootloader.

Opening the bootloader our mobile will reset and erase everything we have in him, so it is very important to back up files that we keep on our mobile as these will be lost

We need to have in our team the Android SDK or failing platform-tools folder that contains the programs that we need -> DOWNLOAD

Download the latest version of TWRP Recovery for our OnePlus One and keep it within the platform-tools folder. -> DOWNLOAD
Turn off the phone and reboot into bootloader mode by holding the Volume Down key while pressing the switch.

We connect the USB cable and open a console command from the platform-tools folder (from the folder, hold down the shift key and we click with the right mouse button to select open console from here).
Open the bootloader with the command: fastboot oem unlock. The phone will restart completely reset, configure it and store in the internal memory file rom Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Install TWRP Recovery:

We return to restart the phone in bootloader mode and open a console command from the platform-tools folder where we saved the file TWRP Recovery to install with the command: fastboot flash recovery NOMBRE_DE_ARCHIVO.img. Once loaded, select with the volume keys BOOTLOADER and confirm by pressing the lit.

Install Android 5.0 Lollipop in the OnePlus One:

Since the phone in bootloader mode, select the RECOVERY volume keys and confirm with the power key. The phone will reboot into the newly installed TWRP Recovery. Click on INSTALL, look for the Android 5.0 Lollipop file saved in the phone memory and install it.
We WIPE CACHE and reboot the phone.

Since we installed in our OnePlus One the new version of Android 5.0 Lollipop officially, but remember that this is only an alpha version, it is not a stable release and therefore you may experience some bugs.
