At last we have among us the final version of the new candy of Google, Android 5.0 Lollipop. This jump so powerful version comes with a radical change in visuals and some improvements it was time to include. Although they are not all we wanted, as we configure the Quick Settings panel.

Despite having an operating system that works well finished and great (not both terminals encryption standard as Nexus and Nexus 6 .. 9), we found a number of flaws or bugs that we hope will be corrected soon. I must say the good and bad of Android Lollipop, we talked great about the latest from Google but also has its problems.

Where is the silent mode?

From the beginning of time Android we had three state in terms of sound is concerned. The first and common volume for our notices. The second question discreet vibration and finally silence mode.

For in Android Lollipop did not find this latter mode, and something I think many users will miss. We can now enable a mode called Priority where our notifications will not sound but we have marked as priority itself, either a new email or text message. In that case it will vibrate. And if we are not sound at any time, for example sleeping, we will have nothing mode in which case no beep or alarm.

It's funny because at the Nexus September we could prove that we can leave the device with the volume turned down but still vibrates to the notifications, something he should not. We offer the option of silence but does not stop working altogether.

Surely Google is already down to work correcting this little bug that will come as next update, will we have Android 5.0.1 so soon?

Why I can not remove the settings for "Invert Colors"?

Another bug that can be found on Android Lollipop is quick settings panel. If by some chance, researching within the new candy of Google we tested how to invert colors or any color correction, a new icon appears in this panel. Quick access to invert colors directly from Notification Center.

The problem that remains constant and have not found a way to remove it other than reinstalling the (somewhat radical option) operating system. Certainly there are some adjustments that disappear when not in use but in this case, always remains with us and for perfectionists, can be annoying because descuadra the full panel.

High battery consumption when connected to WiFi and connectivity issues

Now let's talk about a problem that has been reported in several users (we also included) over WiFi. If itself the Nexus 5 has a battery just to end the day, whether connected to WiFi consumes more is not a solution. Users are reporting to Google to notice a significant drop in battery at rest. Something that should not happen and versions as KitKat or preview Lollipop did not happen.

Another problem being reported with respect to WiFi is about the instability of the connection to your WiFi network. Some say that your device is switched off alone and others who do not return directly to find it in the list of available networks. In the first case it is advisable to forget the network, restart the device and re-enter on our WiFi. In the second case, it is advisable to enter WiFi settings and switch it to anyone below 12.

Even I myself have been able to buy only at low channels 5G WiFi networks can connect the Nexus 9. I just had to get into the settings and change the minor channel, but I still wonder the Nexus 5 Nexus finds and 9 does not .

Failed to open the camera if you have activated flashlight

A minor error but no longer an operating system problem. If you have seen images of Lollipop and more specifically the notification center, you will realize that we find some access already asked for the flashlight. Now if we deploy central settings and click on flashlight, your smartphone will show the way in the dark.

But the problem is that if we turned flashlight and open the camera application, gives us a Force Quit. That is, while the torch has access to flash, no other application can remove it. As we said, it's a minor issue but it is true that should turn off the flash and allow access to the camera, right?

Aggressive management of RAM

Our applications to run on Android require space in RAM. Android currently has a good memory management because in case of need, freeing processes that you have not used. Thus an application that we will use, has room to run.

The problem is that several users have reported problems regarding battery management Lollipop Android. They claim that there is an aggressive battery management, eliminating background applications to free up space without the device you need. If anything characterizes Android is its true multitasking and if we close our processes to the minimum, we have that.

Accessing Settings> Applications> Running we see the management of the RAM memory of our device. Do you see something wrong ?, I might see too much free memory for everything I have in the background ..
