Problem with mail on Nexus 4 with KitKat

Here I have a Nexus 4 which, after upgrading to KitKat, the email app (the yellow envelope) has stopped working.

When trying to open the error window appears and has been closed, and going to the settings and searching the application leaves no clear data from the application or disable it, and all the buttons that appear in gray.

The only button that can be pressed because it seems that is active is to clear the cache, but does nothing when pressed.

I tried removing the accounts associated with that email, but no way.

Anyone else would this happen after updating?

Any solution other than formatting?

I own a nexus 4, and actualize the 4.4 (I'm still waiting for the progress notes) because I had no problems in my case with the email app, because you do not go into recovery mode and delete the cache system, and as a last resort android reinstalled or erase everything and start from 0 maybe with that solves your probelm
