Many times we buy a phone with Android OS and we were satisfied with the keyboard that comes by default, but if I told you that the Internet can find many good alternatives. If ever the Android keyboard you thought uncomfortable, outdated and ugly, in this tutorial you can find some alternatives to replace the entire keyboard of your mobile device.

As I just mentioned, there is a whole world full of keyboards for our mobile phone and most recently as the Android keyboard that comes by default, is far from being the most useful, productive or the prettiest.

Here I present a few small tips for you to give a change to the overall appearance of your Android keyboard.

Use Android keyboards that are preinstalled

All Android devices come with a couple of options preinstalled keyboards. For example, if you have a Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 or S5, we can notice that we have the official Samsung keypad and Swype keyboard, has little drag your finger across the screen to write any kind of letter or word.

If we want to enable additional keyboards, we just have to follow these steps. We go to Settings - Personal and finally to Language and Input. Below Keyboards and Input Methods, can appreciate all keyboards currently installed on your device. The exact name of this menu vary depending on the manufacturer of your device, for example, for the HTC phone, find this option additional keyboards in Settings then Language. It would be best to explore a little more than usual.

Some pre-installed keyboards have their own additional settings and can access them by clicking the little gear icon just to the right of the name of the keyboard you intend to use. The settings vary depending on the keyboard, some allow us to enter our own words, which is very useful, can also change the language, change the subject and start and stop the self-correcting.

Once you choose the keyboard you want to use additional, writing some text it will open a small window where we will have our little list of keyboards and we pick the one we want. Usually the Android keyboard appears first and then have to choose whether or not to change keyboard.
