USB connection problem on samsung galaxy s4

Exactly the same problem (and the same symptoms) with my S4, both connected to the office PC on the laptop.
It is not recognized either by Kies, by cons no problem with Odin.

To transfer files from phone to PC or PC to phone the only way I've found to not have to remove the SD card every time is to go through a wireless link with AirDroid.

TribalWeb, I have good news for you!

I found the solution to our problem of the phone recognition by the computer browser via the USB port. Just do the following manipulation, which is very simple:

1 - With the keypad before the code * # 0808 #
2 - The following screen will appear:

3 - In "USB", you choose "AP"
and "USB SETTINGS" marks you "MTP" and then OK
4 - You subsequently assembled your phone to the PC with the USB cable. Windows will automatically install the necessary drivers and your Galaxy S4 will then appear in your workstation. Your Windows Explorer will then have access to both the SD card to the internal memory of your phone
