How to check what applications are running on Android 6.0?

I used to be able to see what applications are running in the background, in settings / applications to 5.1, but 6.0 can only see what applications are installed in the same location. Does anyone know where to see the running applications?

This is now the developer in the option area of the device settings, under "Running services" menu item:

Note that if you can not see the Developer options at the bottom of its configuration, is because they are hidden by default and needs to be activated manually
