Unlike other members of the product lines of iPod / iPhone from Apple, the iPhone does not ship with the ability to be mounted on a user computer as a removable storage device. Fortunately, there are third-party solutions to unlock this capability and allow you to use your iPhone as a hard drive. In mid-2010, Apple allowed developers to launch applications that allow users to access files on your iPhone (iOS 2 or later) through wireless and USB connections.
