A couple of days ago I lent a new tablet asking me to install some applications. The tablet a Titan with Android 4.0.2, was unused and still in its factory settings, but in trying to enter the Android Market (had not yet been upgraded to Google Play) to install the applications I met repeatedly with an error He is saying:
You can not establish a reliable data connection to the server
You may be a temporary problem or your phone has not been established for data services. If this continues, contact the Customer Service.
The strange thing was that he was connected to Wi-Fi and Internet could navigate perfectly with the browser of Android, but Android Market refused to connect. I found researching the problem all solutions; most suggested very extreme things like change the application from the Android Market or to restore the factory settings (which in my case would be useless because I repeat that the tablet was new), but in the end the solution turned out to be ridiculously simple.

This error occurs because the date and time of the tablet are misconfigured and therefore SSL certificates are rejected. It is the same situation that occurs when the date and time of the PC are bad and all pages with https give error. Just adjust them properly, and you can use the Android Market or Google Play normally.
