Lollipop Android and takes time on the market, and although it has not yet reached many devices can install unofficially in our terminals, if anyone has developed a port, of course.

Failing to come out officially for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, we can install it unofficially through ROMs that can be found on XDA Developers forums. Today we'll show you how to install a ROM based on Android 5.0 developed by Ivan_Meler Lollipop, one of the developers forum members.

Installing the ROM
The procedure for installing this ROM is the same as usually applied to Samsung devices, so it is quite simple:

1-To install the new firmware on our smartphone must install a recovery that allows us to modify the system.

2-But for this, we must first be root -poseer full access to Android and directories have permission to modificarlos-. So we must install a custom recovery, allowing us to install ClockWorkMod fully updated.

3-Download Cyanogenmod 12 for our device and Google Apps.

4-Transfer the file to any directory on your device.
Turn the wireless and induce it in recovery mode.

5-Scroll with buttons volume up and down, up wipe data / factory reset and press the home button to make a reestablishment of Fabria. Repeat the steps to wipe cache partition.

6-Scroll now and install zip> install zip from / sdcard and locate the zip where the ROM is located. Repeat this step with GAPPS.

7-Finally, select reboot system now and wait for your phone to finish completely restarted.

As usual, the port has bugs, and we can not unlock the SIM card with this ROM, ie, if we try to use the device with the SIM card set, we asked for the PUK code directly and does not allow us to unlock the phone, so this ROM is not suitable for normal use of our smartphone, especially if it will be possible to test install the latest version of Android.

CyanogenMod 12 Android 5.0.1 on Galaxy Note 2 Lollipop

This version is the first that has been ported or developed directly for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and it is now possible to test it in our devices, but also run directly to install because although most of the features are operating normally will have errors that are considered important so perhaps we can not take advantage of this rom for daily use

The bugs that are currently in this version of Lollipop hand CyanogenMod for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 are as follows:

- RIL

- GPS (Working for some users)

- Google camera should work now

- You need to run fix data from terminal every time you enable data

- Camera flash does not work after SuperSU

To fix the error of the camera you must run in terminal mode

his

sh etc / init.d / 80cfw

Having clarified this and you are sure to want to try it can continue with the installation method.

prerequisites

Make a backup of your data as all will be lost.

How to Install CyanogenMod 12 Android 5.0 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy Note

Download the rom | CyanogenMod 12 Galaxy Note 2 for the Gapps | Gapps CM12 and download SuperSU beta (only if you want root) | SuperSU beta
Copy the rom, the gaps and SuperSU to the memory of your device.
Turn off your device and enters the recovery.
Within the recovery takes ordinary wipes (Factory reset, cache, cache davilk, format system)
After you flash the rom install zip from sdcard and looking from the zip file you downloaded.
After you flash the gapps in the same way as above and if you want to root also flashes SuperSU beta
Reboot your device and go.
After this we have CyanogenMod 12 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop in our Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Hopefully eventually update the ROM to hold land without any bug and as we get ROMS available announce in this note.
