Start by going to Internet Explorer and click on "Tools." Select "Pop-up Blocker." Click "On".

Adjust the settings of your lock by clicking "Settings pop-up blocking." Determines the filter you want: low, medium or high.

Select the type of report you want to appear when a notice advertising emerges either a sound or an information bar that appears at the top of the page. If the popup blocker in Internet Explorer does not block the ads enough, try any of the following methods.

Edit the page on your server similarly to you block websites. The Server page contains the mapping of IP addresses. Run the C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 \ drivers \ (and so on).

Find the local server 127.0.0.1. The following line adds the next number in the series, 127.0.0.2 and add the name of the server that has advertisements. For example, 127.0.0.2 ad.doubleclick.net.

Click "Done" to block those ads advertising for not returning. This also causes the server from tracking your movements.

Find an easier way to block annoying ads trying some of the many security programs that exist especially for that purpose, including Secretmaker, AdsBlock and Ad Annihilator. You can try Ad Annihilator before purchasing a license. One of the advantages of buying a program that updates is free to stay one step ahead of the persistent advertisers
