Hello. I have a Moto E 2013 which the overnight will not play any sound. I tried installing apps from the store that I found by looking in google, I tried to put it in silent mode, turn it off and on again but none of this has helped me. I know it's not software problem since we do hear when I connect a jack. What can be done? Thank you.

You could try a test audio typing this code 0289 ## ## as if you were to make a call.

Also, comentame if you have a star icon at the top of your screen.

Hello, thanks for answering.
I typed this code you mentioned and tells me that there has been a connection problem or the MMI code is invalid. And do me any star icon appears at the top of the screen.

Ok, press the button on / off until you get a menu appears, below are some icons, select the speaker icon with a line indicating sound off. Turn off the phone, turn it on and press the button on / off until you get a menu appears, below are some icons, select the icon speaker sound to light again.

If this did not solve the problem, I recommend making a backup of your information and restore factory.

You're right, I have read and Moto is a common and supposedly because the phone does not recognize that the headphones have already been withdrawn mistake and why it does not work for the audio hardware problem apparently.

First recommendation, take it for service.

Other recommendations:
- Press your phone with your fingers at the top and bottom in case something this adjustment.
- Try placing and removing the headphones recognize gently until they were removed.
- someone Moto Assist restored and run (Settings> Moto Assist> Force stop> Delete data and reset).
