Hello

There are three reasons why you can not format your USB

Blocked 1) Mode
PenDrive Some come with a lever to make it read only. (Symbolized with a padlock) 2) LowBattery Many Pen Drive are within a short stack, which the exhaustion does not allow formatting the drive. 3) BlockinSome PenDrive not allow direct formatting the drive, needs to be disarmed and jumpear the JP01, then the format should be withdrawn.

Try formatting by Mark System

1. Home

2. In the search box, type CMD

3. Then in the screen symbol prompt, type FORMAT C: (or letter which appears the USB connected)

4. If you want to have more knowledge you can type in FORMAT HELP and press enter

5. Otherwise allows you to format, try to perform a CHKDSK

6. Digita chkdsk / f

Try this and tell me.

Try formatting in safe mode memory.

Reboot - press and hold F8 - choose safe mode - then format

Check and tell me.

If you have a Kingston memory cell (MicroSD) with a USB adapter, it may be that the memory has a password which will indicate nothing, to resolve insert the memory cell and enter the key to remove the blockage, If you do not remember the password buy another memory because there is no way back.

You can also try to format your memory as follows:

1. Click "Start"
2. Over the bar "Search Programs and Files" write "Restore"
3. Select the "CDM" icon
in April. Select the icon and right click "Ejecular as Inbox Manager"
in May. Sign in to your memory unit Ex: if drive D: .... "cd d:"

6. Then type the following command "format d: / -s -t"

7. For more information of the format command, digita: format /?

If a USB stick and does not show you anything, maybe this memory burned for over voltage or remove incorrectly, for this contact the manufacturer for more information here

I hope you serve.

WinXP not allow me to read my 4GB Verbatim Micro USB. In saying 0Bytes properties and would not let me try formatting. In addition to access and try to create a folder saying "can not find file".

It is curious that in a DVD if the read.

The solution that worked for me:

In the register of XP "rgedit" in

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ StorageDevicePolicies"

Change the value 0-1 and usb crashes.

After low-level formatting a program, I use Repair_v2.9.1.9.zip.

Then Windows says it has no format, but you can not format until the regedit back to set the value to 0.
