A frequent mistake WordPress and often is a headache for administrators is that after performing the automatic updating of plugins some of them may cause an error which prevents access to the admin panel or even the main site.

To me it happened to me a couple of days with version 1.1.5 of the plugin Facebook ago, so I'll show you how to regain access to your administration panel and disable the conflicting for your site running smoothly plugin.

  1. First, you need to access files on your site either via a FTP client such as FileZilla or via web from the admin panel of your hosting
  2. If you know which or what plugins caused the problem on your site to be updated, you must rename the folder in wp-contents / plugins /, if you do not know which was, you can keep trying for a little or just rename the folder plugins
  3. After that you can already access the administration panel through tusitio.com/wp-admin/ and enter the Plugins menu where you will get a message that the conflicting plugin was automatically disabled
  4. Finally I can rename the folder back to the original name of the plugin and use your site as if nothing had happened. Now we shall investigate the cause of the conflict, seeking support on the plugin page or simply leave it off until it comes a new version that does not have that problem

I hope you have served and leave your comment.
