We've all been through this: we have multiple tabs open in one browser and starts playing something, be it video or music. The first thing we did we attempt to do is lower the volume on the computer ... But not anymore. At least not with Google Chrome.
The latest version of Google Chrome includes a feature to detect which tab loud silence with a click:
You have to paste the following into the address bar to open the browser settings:
chrome: // flags / # enable-tab-audio-muting
This leads directly to the "Enable user interface control to mute the audio tabs" which we turn on that screen. After restarting the browser, the speaker icon betray those tabs that emit a sound, and now only have to click on that icon to mute the tab. Easy, no?
