Follow these steps regardless of what quet ENGAS on the screen of your iPod
1. Connect your iPod to PC.
2. Open iTunes.
3. Put your iPod in DFU mode or Restoration.
- Press the "Home" button and "Off" at the same time for about 10 seconds.
- Release the button "Shut Down" and hold the "Home" few more seconds, button until iTunes tells you that it has detected an iPod in Restore mode.

If you find it difficult to know whether your iPod is in DFU mode, try the following:
1. Open the Device Manager.
2. Go to Universal Serial Bus Controller
When your PC detects the Apple iPod should put there instead of DFU Recovery.

4. Once iTunes will detect your iPod in Restore Mode press the Shift key on the keyboard (the one below the "Caps Lock") without releasing click the "Restore" button (the one on iTunes).
5. A search pantallita file like the following picture (The folder that appears by default is "My Documents", so to not have to go looking for the firmware file recommend that you link to download that folder):
6. Once you have located the file firmware version you want to upload and click on the "Open" button and the restoration process will begin.
7. After completing the Restoration configure your iPod as a new iPod.
