Disabling applications in Android 4.0
In Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) many apps that can not uninstall can disable, or what is the same, hide application launcher that can not run in the background consuming memoryRAM .
To do this we just need to access the application information, found in Settings> Manage Applications> All and find the app you want to disable, or in many devices with Android 4.0 just have to hold the icon application not want to see more and drag App Information .
Once inside the application information we do not want just have to give the button Disable or Off. If the application has updates we must remove them before to access this option. By doing this the application and no longer appear in the application launcher and run in the background if it did.In the example screenshots I've disabled the internet browser that came as standard to have installed a more complete.
The application will continue to occupy memory on the phone but can erase your data to free up extra memory consuming and stop consuming to disable it in the future. If we do not occupy any memory and have to do root terminal and delete the application.
If you then want to have visible and available again a hidden application just have to go to Settings> Manage Applications> All and look for the disabled application and activate it, and it will appear in our application launcher.
