Android is an open and highly customizable operating system. Therefore we can install any application available on Google Play or other repositories.

When installing some applications, we can always find some installation or download error.

In this post we will explain how to solve the error "Application not installed" on our Android devices.

This error is very typical and has been dragging from previous versions. It appears when we try to update or reinstall an application that we have previously had.

This problem has an easy solution, which prevents us for later cases. This problem persists whenever we uninstall an application which should remove all traces of it, but it does not, leaving residues and files that at the time of reinstallation gives us error.

To solve this error we must modify a file that is in two routes, in the system folder, the change can be made with any file manager like Astro.

We must go to the following route:

Root of the system> system> app.
Root of the system> data> app.
We must find the files related to the application that we want to install and rename the files (for example, "app.apk.bak") in this way when installing the application it will not detect any remnants of previous versions.

Now you can install the application without any problem and you would solve this error.

Now you know how to solve the "Application not installed" error so common in Android, you can reinstall your applications whenever you want without any problem.

Did you ever get this error? Have you been able to solve it?
