Now with the KitKat version, the option to hide applications, has disappeared, and with it, ALL APPLICATIONS I had hidden, and denied them discoverable, since that option no longer exists. The only thing I found was applications "deactivated" which assumes not my hidden applications are ...

I have not yet updated and I can not try, but look to see if you find the launcher in the list of applications and can just delete the data and apps reappear;)

EDIT: I tried to hide apps in 4.3, then deleted data Launcher (Home TouchWiz) and I have reappeared which I have hidden. Kitkat probably try to work. But remember that the launcher so you lose any customization of this restarts.

Hiding applications is only a particular function of launcher, but not the system. As for alternative lauchers these applications continue to appear ordinary.

I recommend that you go to Settings> More> Applications Manager> TouchWiz Home> Clear Data. Done. Applications appear again. :)
