Music App is one of 8 native Windows applications that users prefer leader today. However, there may be a situation where you may find that you can not play music in your application. This could be due to corruption in the registry settings. I will talk about this type of error and provide a way to fix it.

Windows 8 App Error Code 0xC00D11CD (0x8000ffff)

As you can see in the picture above, there is a problem and Windows simply "can not play". If you are getting this error on the Surface tablet with Windows RT, then restart the tablet could fix it. If you are using Windows 8 on the desktop, then I suggest you try the following steps below:

1 Press the Windows key + R, then type regedt32 in the Run dialog box and press [Enter] to open the Registry Editor.

2 Navigate to the following registry location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \

Editor de Registro

3 In the right pane of this location, you can find a DWORD called DisableProtectedAudioDG. Since you are facing the problem, the information will DWORD value is equal to 1 Double-click it to modify:

Editor de Valor DWORD

4 In the window above, the input value is equal to 1 Click OK.

NOTE: If you do not have the DWORD value to the registry location can create using right click -> New -> DWORD Value. After its creation, the data will have default value is 0, which will work great and fix the problem automatically.
