Not that Sony can take the bells ringing through sales and their latest in mobile technology achievements. And it does not seem to have managed to give the correct key, not knowing if they will engage only in high-end smartphones that always refers to the question of whether or not they wished to renew the Z range as often . In fact, the Sony Xperia Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3 Compact came in the previous IFA to take his throne at the top of the catalog, waking rave reviews for its design and features. And now that we are beginning to see in the market, it was a matter of time that they get more modifications demanded by experienced users: ROOT and custom recovery with CWM access.

Not that the process is neither complicated nor strange, since the method used is the same as always. But yes: you must know that, by making the bootloader unlock any of the phones, you will lose the DRM keys of the device, being impossible to recover. Besides running the risk of spoiling the phone and obviously lose the manufacturer's warranty. You need to unlock the bootloader of the Sony Xperia Xperia Z3 or Z3 Compact before starting the process.

Do you feel valued at root the phone and install a custom recovery CWM?

Need the kernel-modified CWM that you can download from this link, being valid for the Z3 Compact. The custom recovery for Xperia Sony Z3 is here. As for the Super ITS ROOT, the link you have it (true for both models). In addition, you must have ADB and fastboot assets with the Android SDK.

  • Rename the file with the downloaded custom recovery "boot.img" to facilitate the process. Put the file in the "Tools" folder of the Android SDK.
  • The phone must be unlocked bootloader.
  • Developer mode on the Xperia. Go to device information (in settings) and ten times You press on "Build Number".
  • Stand back and activate "debug mode" in developer options.
  • connect the phone to the computer, accepted the notice of RSA keys on your screen, go up to file Super YOUR phone storage, and open a terminal in the computer.
  • Go to the "Tools" path by typing in the terminal window and then type in "adb reboot bootloader".
  • When the Xperia reboots in bootloader mode, write "fastboot flash boot boot.img".
  • Write then "fastboot reboot" to reboot the system. When you have already booted, type in "adb reboot recovery". The Xperia will start in CWM.
  • Now only you know SuperSU flash the file from the "Instal" option, seeking his zip. We recommend making a backup before.
  • Now you have a custom recovery with ROOT on your Sony Xperia Sony Xperia Z3 or Z3 Compact. Be sure to flash the version corresponding to your file.

We could not carry out the process to check its operation, so we can not assure you that it works. Act with caution and only when you stand absolutely sure that you need the ROOT and CWM.
