It may not be something that is really noticeable unless you look closely, but there is a better quality on the panel when it is set to a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. And on battery expense? For we have been testing and we have to say that consumption is not significant . In fact, there have not been as many differences in the tests that we have done as not to recommend the adjustment to WQHD.

Adjusting the screen resolution on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + is as simple as doing the following:

  • We access the Android settings and enter the "Display" option.
  • Enter "Screen Resolution".
  • Move the setting to the right, where WQHD + is set.

Alternatively, it can also be done as follows:

  • We access the Android settings, then the battery settings.
  • We go into energy saving modes.
  • We mark the " Average saving mode " and, in addition to reducing the resolution, we will also moderate the energy expenditure.
As we said, the energy consumption is not altered excessively by varying the resolution of the panel : the expense is kept within the usual in a Super AMOLED panel. Our recommendation is to leave it at 1440 x 2960 pixels: the sharpness ends up enhancing the extraordinary performance of the Samsung Galaxy S8 screen.
