See if it works for this:
lock up the PC and unplug the iPad.
Restart iTunes.
Hold the Home and Power button pressed at the same time.
When the iPhone 4 reboot plug it (quickly).
Release the Power button, but hold down the Home button.
saying that detects an iPad needs to be restored to the initial configuration or something like a window in iTunes appears.
Click Restore when it appears but still keeping the Home button pressed.
Wait for a few seconds seem like an eternity.
When I say "waiting for the iPad" release the Home button.
The phone should be restored but with the "Connect to iTunes" screen.
currently connect it to another laptop and it should recognize it as a new iPad. Unplug and re-plug the PC.
Do the same (new iPad) but this time will give you the option to restore the backup. Reinstall and ipad copy restarts.
