Step 1: Move the mouse to the right side of the screen to open the new menu of Windows 8 and click "Search".
Step 2: In the Search menu we click on "Settings" and write "Diagnose" will automatically appear on the left side of the window tool "Diagnosing memory problems the team."
Step 3: In the next window select the option to start checking right now or sometime later you reboot the computer if you can not do now. Windows Memory Diagnostic is running outside of Windows and that is to restart the system for analysis.
User Interface Windows Memory Diagnostic
The user interface displays the Memory Diagnostic five sections:
- The menu at the top of the screen, which gives access to the configuration options.
- The section at the top (below the menu) displays information about the running test and indicators of progress of the entire series, the current test and the memory range.
- The left half of the screen displays a summary of the test results and have been run recently.
- The right half of the screen shows a map of the system memory and show memory sectors that are being tested.
- The bottom of the screen displays a summary of errors. If an error is detected, this is where the data is displayed.
Options
The program allows us to perform some actions, available on the top menu on screen, depending on the state of Windows Memory Diagnostic.
(P) Pause. Pause Windows Memory Diagnostic. To access the additional menu options, we must first pause Windows Memory Diagnostic.
(X) Exit. Windows Memory Diagnostic immediately closes and restarts the computer. If we were running from a DVD or USB, we must remove it to start Windows normally.
(T) Perform extended testing. Run the extended test. This set will test the RAM more thoroughly and more time is needed to complete. This option is available only when running standard tests.
(T) Execute standard tests. Runs the standard tests. This option is available only when a different set of standard tests to run.
(C) Resume. To "despausar" Windows Memory Diagnostic and continue testing. This option is available only if Windows Memory Diagnostic is paused.
(M) menu. Provides advanced configuration options. This option is available only when Windows Memory Diagnostic is paused.
(TAB keys / arrows) Explore. Lets explore the Windows Memory Diagnostic screen using the TAB key, and then scroll down the page and review the data in certain areas of screen using the arrow keys.
