An unknown number of users are experiencing in the last days serious problems to access their Hotmail accounts and Outlook.com when trying to do this from a mobile device.
As has been reported in Microsoft's own forums, it is a problem affecting users of iPhone, iPad and Android. To a lesser extent have also registered problems among users of Windows Phone and even between Surface RT.
Apparently this is a problem with Exchange ActiveSync, the protocol used to own the microsoft natively access to Exchange Server from mobile devices. The problem, which was recorded on 10 January, has been solved in part because currently the only thing from Redmond claim is that they are working to fix the problem ASAP.
Currently part of the affected users, they can access your mail from the web versions of both services (from mobile devices that is). Finally, it should be noted that users also using the native mail application that integrate these fixture by accessing their accounts in Microsoft services are experiencing the same problems.
