Rooting When we saw how to install Ubuntu 14.04 easily, we also saw how to customize the boot loader with GRUB Customizer. Ubuntu offers endless possibilities for customization.
But if you're one of those bitten apple lovers you'll like caring for OS X design, which is based also iOS. We have also recently published a series of articles to provide Android to iOS appearance, CInt installing iOS Control keyboard. If you are using Ubuntu and would like to look like a brand new Mac, now let's see how.
Wallpapers for Mac

You can download the wallpapers of OS X from here.

Docky
If anything characterizes Mac is the application launcher at the bottom of the desktop. To do this we will use Docky, we could use the known Cairo Dock but the latest version of Ubuntu has some issues. Docky is much lighter and runs smoothly.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:docky-core/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install docky
Here you can download the OS X theme for Docky.

Themes, icons and cursor of OS X Lion
The following will install pack contains four tracks and three sets of icons.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install mac-ithemes-v3
sudo apt-get install mac-icons-v3

We can select our favorite theme, icons and cursor using Unity Tweak Tool.

sudo apt-get install unity-tweak-tool

Macbuntu Splas

To install the Mac loading screen will use the following commands:
sudo apt-get install mbuntu-bscreen-v3

OS X theme for LightDM

Then we will install the theme for our OS X login screen LightDM:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes

Replace the scroll bars

To give it a lot more to our Ubuntu Mac lets alter overlapping scroll bars by slashes.
gsettings set com.canonical.desktop.interface scrollbar-mode normal

Apple Logo on launcher

To change the Ubuntu icon in the Mac Unity launcher will use the following command in the terminal:
wget -O launcher_bfb.png http://drive.noobslab.com/data/Mac-14.04/launcher-logo/apple/launcher_bfb.png
sudo mv launcher_bfb.png /usr/share/unity/icons/

Power Mac

Optionally to give our system an aspect full OS X Lion can install Mac fonts, we will do as follows:
wget -O mac-fonts.zip http://drive.noobslab.com/data/Mac-14.04/macfonts.zip
sudo unzip mac-fonts.zip -d /usr/share/fonts; rm mac-fonts.zip
sudo fc-cache -f -v

System fonts can change from Unity Tweak Tool above.

If you are a lover of Mac style you can achieve with a few simple steps and a much smaller investment than buying an Apple device to have Ubuntu 14.04 with appearance of OS X.
