I think there may be the problem, you need to interconnect a crossover cable, you just used the normal to connect to a switch or router. If your modem / router has multiple ports, each connecting PCs on a port, esra way will create a network with your router. Greetings brother and tell us;)

machines connected to the router but nothing happens. I've also seen that should make a bridge between the connections and when I do I lose the internet

Well look, more or less do the following, and see what happens. I have youtube channel tutos whether if you could not run a hurry you a tuto, now that I do not go home and tomorrow I exams whether it would be tomorrow afternoon video.

For now you can try to connect the two PCs to the router by independent, different ethernet cables to different ports RJ-45. Thus go through separate and later, if that works, talk about sharing resources.

At first that really cost us a little, but I assure you we will have a great time with hehe networks. A brother hug, and you tell me.

There are machines connected to the router by ethernet cable different. I think we just need to set q to make the LAN work

Ok, then all great, do not worry about the config, when I have some time I'll make a video of how to set practical, I will use two computers that it may be easier to understand. A hug.

Tomorrow I miss cable, if possible the ethernet lol

Come on, tell me the specifications of XP if you do not mind please. Just do something, I have a few specifications (my laptop) running on w7 ultimate 32bit and just in the 64bit desktop.

agree. XP Professional SP3 is 32 bit, 160 GB hard drive, AMD Sempron 2.7 GHz processor and 2GB RAM. While Windows 7 has an AMD FX 8350 processor 4.0 GHz (8 cores), 32GB RAM, 2 hard drives of 2TB each, and a video card AMD Radeon HD 7990 6 GB

Okay mate, lol because as you have not already running w7 on the other too, because I have in my laptop with intel atom only 1.4GHz and 1GB of RAM that are the lowest specifications and functions bn. I think you just gave good news hehe;)

Like no other reason why you do not have Windows 7 I am one of those classic people. my Windows XP I always worked without any problem however in 7 jump many posters on if I want to start the program, among other things. For my XP was always more comfortable but I can not use because my computer is very new parts and XP fails to recognize and therefore can not be installed
