Press the F8 key while the computer starts.

In the Advanced Options screen mode, use the arrow keys to select Repair your computer, and then press Enter.

Select the keyboard layout, and then click Next.

From the Options menu system recovery, click Startup Repair.

Hello

If you have recently installed any software uninstall it to see if the cause or make a System Restore to a date before the problem.

Since then I have upgraded to Windows 8.1 Update 1.

If the above is not true then try the solution given Microsoft:

You must run CMD conmo Administrator:
Press the Windows + W and tecela CMD keys.
Hazle right click and run it as Administrator.
Type the following (better Copy and Paste): bcdedit / set disabledynamictick yes / Press Enter.
Restart the equiipo.
Try and tell us the result.

Regards, osky

Hello eslem, for the message that you aperase, an update that went wrong, or tried to install something to make a change, and must have gone wrong installed.

Windows 8 / 8.1 no longer boot menu with F8, so I have to bring startup error.

You have the following, start the computer normally, and when it starts to boot Windows or this this error, restart the computer if desktop or turn off forcibly if it is a Notebook, do it two or three times, why is that you must take to error Windows to display the advanced boot options menu F8 old the previous Windows, just do not look the same.

At the time aperase the Windows logo with circuits turning and below says Wait, do not touch anything, you let it go forward, must show one dark blue screen saying that Windows did not start successfully, giving two options Reset or go advanced Options, I think it says that, but it must be in that line.

You click Advanced Options, and then select Troubleshooting> Advanced, then a set of options which can be tested appear:

-Restore System which will allow manual selection of a point prior to the problems

Repair of home is another, although I do not think it's a boot problem.

-Setting Boot that is the option that allow you to run the Safe Mode and see if Windows loads in that mode and restore the computer to an earlier point to problems.

Greetings;)

Hello is generally recommended that the Windows Update to be responsible for the automatically download and install updates, but if you want to keep track of which is installed on the updates, the best option is to warn that there are new updates and let the user whatever it chooses, as long as the user agrees to perform that task every second Tuesday of the month, but no sense.

Win8 / 8.1 are not aware that there are new updates with the icon in the taskbar, as above, although caution in the Modern UI menu, so if you put in manual rigorously every second Tuesday of each month looking Windows Update or at least the day after said Tuesday.

You have not mentioned which version of Win8 have if Win8 - Win8.1 - Win8.1 update 1, which comentos because if the error came from Win8.1 you had one and you upgraded to update the update has brought many headaches a lot people.

For now put manually the Windows update, it warn you that there are new updates but let the user choose whether to install them, I go installing them one by one as well you propose, it will be work, but you may install properly or jump which is causing problems, if you have important documents, make a copy of these onto removable media, so if it happens again, do not be afraid of getting lost.

Greetings;)

Hello and thanks again.
I had the updated windows 8 to 8.1 and always worked fine, until I started to stay caught computer.
well, when I put the post, Reproduce the steps you told me and went well, I did a system recovery that returned me to windows 8 and install the windows 8.1 pedia me to install all necessary updates (very many), I did, were downloaded, installed and asked me to restart to take effect, and that's when I came out and error with blue screen.
alfinal I went back to retrieve and update installed until past me again, the same error with a blue screen, so it is almost certainly one of the updates it gives me the error.
I'll have to try to install 2 by 2 to find out which is more or less, because they are like 100 updates to download to upgrade to win 8.1.

Hi, interesting to know the error number, having error number can investigate what can happen, if by any chance it shows a number of errors eg Error STOP:. 0x0000076 you copy and paste, and investigate have what may be the cause.

Greetings and good luck in installing the updates :)
