My company recently got 5 Samsung Galaxy S5's through Verizon. I have one personally through AT&T. All of us have had an issue with our pop email in which it stops syncing. I had the issue first through AT&T. It kind of just went away. Another user had an issue through the Verizon version as well. We thought we fixed it by putting the work pop email through the native email client and then personal on another mailbox app. All of us seems to be fixed except one user. Her work email will work fine for a couple days and then bam, wont sync anymore. Has anyone run into this issue? I checked online and its very limited it seems.

This was a great idea and I followed up on it. I downloaded the Benstar 'myMail' app. (it had a five-start rating and it was free). IT WORKED! So, I might not have to take the S5 back after all. I'll be able to handle my regular e-mail through this new program while I work toward getting the Samsung provided one fixed. And even if I never get it fixed, maybe I can find an email client out there somewhere that looks enough like my HTC EVO 4G maile client to become my new email client of choice. Thanks, again! Great idea.

The MyMail app (free in Play Store) is simply wonderful. So simple to set up and gorgeous graphics with lots of flexibility on how you handle your mail. I LOVE it.

So much better than the native email app that came with the phone it isn't even funny. I disabled the native email app as soon as I had MyMail up and running (which took all of 15 seconds BTW).

S5 email sync problem

Hi, I have set up my mail account at S5 (mymail.edu). Initial be all the data (mail, calendar ...) loaded (push). But the subsequent synchronization runs on an error; I can not send or receivefrown. "Synchronizing Email" is the status of "Master Sync has been disabled"; I take the green tick is out there "Sync Disabled". The problem sits guaranteed 70 cm in front of the screen, I thank you in advance for the help.

There is the possibility the S5 from the home screen, a pull-down menu to open. It lets you make (fast-) settings. About "sync" can the push = master synchronization of accounts on or off. If you have disabled them, you get mails & Co only via manual query.
