Surely I am with you that you have only changed the main page. And that is not the fault of the JB.

Theoretically, it is impossible for a virus to infect an iOS system, but reality has shown otherwise. if quiet, no JB saves you absolutely all the problems inherent to JB; obvious right? .. Believe it or not though advocates and JB never admit it, if there are many problems with a JB iDevice.

As I have said on many occasions, no one has ever shown that an iDevice with JB ande better nor no better than a JB iDevice play.

So the logical question would be "why would JB hell" if nothing improves performance, except to satisfy the "trappings" of "tinkering" with the only iDevice personal purposes that have nothing to do with performance and better UI.

You can argue that there are many Cydia tweaks to improve UI, but this is also good to argue that the vast majority of those proverbial Cydia tweaks have already been adopted by iOS 7 and come more in iOS 8.
