Just one question .... do you have on your iPad Jailbreak?

If so, you should restore to iOS 7.1.1 (previously saved backup) and from the JB and virus.

But we'll see, everything will now be the fault of the jailbreak? Bad bad bad ... Jailbreak First you even determine if it is the fault of the jailbreak, and in this case it seems, and it's likely that neither did. What has happened is that the partner has probably visited a site that supposedly has warned that it has a virus on your device to try to "sell" a scanner program that needs. How many of us have seen a pop-up on a website saying something like "Alert, a virus has been detected on your system. Asap Scan our fantastic utility XXXXXX"? O, this false warning for Windows users: "Your registry is corrupted or not optimized download our registry repair XXXXXX.". Moreover, if we look closely, this route or there is a iOS file system, so it is clearly a false alarm. The website indicates a route that does not exist if the unsuspecting user (novice) finally "pica" and download the program. Does a virus really show the path where it is installed? Please ... HERE is more information about it. What you saw on the website that you advised of that FALSE virus?

Surely I am with you that you have only changed the main page. And that is not the fault of the JB.

Also were among those who had on all devices JB, mostly out of necessity since there had him released, but the truth I tell you, if you noticed that the iPad was going slower, they hotter and consume more battery.

Greetings and good luck

Theoretically, it is impossible for a virus to infect an iOS system, but reality has shown otherwise. In the case of infiltration is reached (eg Unflod), the malware has yet to cope with the environment in which each protected app ("sandbox") is executed, so that every app running on your own memory space, making it almost impossible for malware to sneak into the space of another app. But as I say, it is not impossible if you have installed the JB (Unflod is the proof). Without the jailbreak, I'm not sure if it is totally impossible, but very unlikely yes it is.

Hahahaha exactly my girlfriend did the same while visiting websites to watch online movies on the iPad, and told me all worried, "cari, there is a viruus: (." It is simply pop up advertising messages with SPAM, as you say and to download antivirus scanners. explaining it I laughed, how cute is ...

Greetings!

I do not use jailbreak, then I can rest easy?

if quiet, no JB saves you absolutely all the problems inherent to JB; obvious right? .. Believe it or not though advocates and JB never admit it, if there are many problems with a JB iDevice.

As I have said on many occasions, no one has ever shown that an iDevice with JB ande better nor no better than a JB iDevice play.

So the logical question would be "why would JB hell" if nothing improves performance, except to satisfy the "trappings" of "tinkering" with the only iDevice personal purposes that have nothing to do with performance and better UI.

You can argue that there are many Cydia tweaks to improve UI, but this is also good to argue that the vast majority of those proverbial Cydia tweaks have already been adopted by iOS 7 and come more in iOS 8.
