ITunes can occasionally return inscrutable Error messages - in particular the "error (-50)" dreaded message when downloading music or movies from the iTunes store. This error is obtained by a couple of different reasons: usually it means you have a program or virus firewall blocking the download, and the need to allow iTunes to access the Internet. Another reason relates only to videos downloaded files cache for the video are causing the problems. To solve it, you need to delete the files.

antivirus software

Close iTunes.

Open your antivirus / firewall software.

Configure the software to allow data from these domains: itunes.apple.com, ax.itunes.apple.com, albert.apple.com or gs.apple.com. The exact process will vary depending on the software you have.

Restart iTunes.

It will attempt to download music or video purchased again.

Video files temperature

Go to the download directory on your computer. Machines for Windows 7, is typically "\ Users \ username \ My Music \ iTunes \ iTunes Media \ Downloads \" - instead of "username" with your username.

Locate the folder containing the temporary file. In Windows 7, the name of the video takes and has an extension ".tmp".

.tmp Drag the folder to the recycle bin.

Open iTunes.

Select "Store" then "Check for available downloads."

Enter your account name and password when prompted.

Click "Check". Your file begins downloading again.
