For reasons not relevant here, I often move files between folders . When I stop for a few seconds on a next folder you desire, immediately the contents of this folder is displayed (you can check ) putting your mouse far from the desired folder, which is quite annoying because it takes longer time situate in the desired folder , which now takes longer to search .

Surely this delay time to unfold the contents of a folder is registered by default in the file " windows registry " but I do not know how to find this entry in the database to change the parameter that defines the delay time.

If you have read this post and know the answer , would you be so kind as to help me by telling me what the windows registry entry I should edit the numeric parameter for this delay ? (I guess it will be called the same in all versions , but I have the 7 and 8 installed on different computers )

Hello,

I for one do not understand you, could you elaborate?

If I go to Windows Explorer, I go to C: copy any folder and I put on another folder to me it does not display any content, the more that comes out is the typical tooltip (tooltip) where he says creation date, size, files and folders.

Hi , thanks for replying .

You are right that I did not explain well , although they tried to be as educational as possible . The reason that the contents of a folder are not displayed when you drag A to this one ( to release later) any other folder B or C file is because the folder has subfolders NOT . Taste and check if the folder A (target file or folder moved or copied ) has subfolders , then after 1 second the contents of subfolders unfolds A. Then the mouse no longer remains in the A folder destination but somewhere else because the place onscreen mOVED a folder was the initial site , appearing on some subfolder D. Moreover, if you do not move the mouse even having the button ( ready to drop what you want to drag ) , then after a further second back to unfold the content of the subfolder D subfolders where the mouse is located by chance. And so on. Then the screen position of the destination subfolder A moves away more from the position of the pointer on the screen (which is always fixed ) . Have a lot of work to copy or move something in a subfolder ORIGIN to another if you do not hurry to find the folder or subfolder that contains several subfolders DESTINATION distributed tree ( many nested subfolders).

I hope I have explained it better now .

Hello,

I think I've understood, however I do not get what you say about the subfolders ...

Create A folder on the desktop and within the folder B and C.
Beside A more create another folder called X and within it create the folders Y and Z.

A drag the folder X and I do not miss what you say to choose that subfolder release, activaste something to have that function?

The problem does not occur when you want to copy or move a folder inside archo or desktop, or within the file browser on the right side. Appears only when you want to copy or move something just on the left side or the right side to the left of the file browser. Anyway, for your question I gather you do not know how to help me, but you have not understood my problem (which will also be yours and all when what I intend to do)

Thanks for responding

Hello,

Until you said in your third post you meant the left of the browser did not understand you ...

Although not understand you because it was not the solution, search online and did not see anything about it.

I know in regedit in the path HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop there are options to drag and drop but do not revise what you intend.

On the other hand in HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Mouse is that this is the time MouseHoverTime these on an item, but I tried it and does nothing, is for popup.

So expect to see if another forero gives the solution to my moment I can not think anything else.
