If your operating system is Android version 4.4 and has unsuccessfully tried to install WhatsApp, it may have generated a folder that keeps you reinstall the application.

This folder is called com.whatsapp, and is found in / data / data (as explained on the website WhatsApp). The only two ways to remove it so:

· Having a rooted phone (in this case you can find the folder and deleting)

· Reset the phone (Settings> Backup and Restore> Factory data reset)

Attention! Remember to reset the phone to factory data means losing all data (phone numbers, messages, call log, saved files, etc) it contains. Before must make a full backup of the contents of your mobile.

This is a common mistake that usually happen after flashing a ROM without having removed before the data above, or when it happens that uninstalling an application was incomplete because it hung , quenched a apk file is corrupted , grounded or "something else" in the process.

Basically happens because data were from a previous installation of the application. The Play Store sees these inconsistent data when you try to install the application and it throws an error "-24 " , just do not know what to do with that data ...

To resolve this:

Usually you'll happen if ever the device rooteaste so IF ROOTEASTE , first know that ALL GOING TO LOSE THAT DATA APPLICATION (and really and should have lost if you had uninstalled !)

We using a root file manager, go to the folder / data / data
We locate the application that gives us problems based on the package name . If you do not know the name of the package, simply find the Play Store application in the web, we will see in the URL of your page .
We remove the folder with that name.
Let 's Play Store and we reinstall the application. Now it should work fine!
If you served leave me a comment !

IF DES- ROOTEASTE 'll need to run this in adb :

adb shell rm- R -f / data / data / <packagename>
Replacing <packagename> with the package name of the application ( and if you do not know the package name , read above you explain where to look ... )

If nothing works , you just have to do a "factory reset" unfortunately ...

Unknown but related gift ART KitKat and Error.

solution:

If we root the solution is safe. With a root file browser we go to android / data / com.whatsapp com.whatsapp and remove the folder.

Install Whatsapp from the Play Store.

If we are not root remove junk files with Clean Master. Whatsapp and then execute Desinstalaremos Clean Master in Advanced mode.

How drastic option last and will make a backup of our applications and we will do a factory reset.
