  1. Eliminate breeding house. Dispose of trash and fruits or vegetables that are damaged. Clean the sink with drain cleaner and turn the garbage disposal to eliminate waste, if there are flies in the sink area.

  2. Fill a glass jar with 1 inch of beer or cider vinegar. You can also put a banana slices on the bottom of the jar.

  3. Make a hole in a corner of a plastic sandwich bag size. Make a hole no more than 1/8 inch in size.

  4. Place the corner of the pouch with the orifice in the interior of the vial. Fold the openingof the bag over the rim of the jar and secure with a rubber band. The bag is like a funnel in the jar with a hole in the bottom.

  5. Place the jar in the area near the largest population of flies or mosquitoes area. Use multiple containers for severe infestations. Flies enter the funnel to feed but can not escape.

  6. Replace the bottle every two or three days until no flies or mosquitoes in the room.

Step

  1. Remove the food source and breeding areas. Fruit flies have a life cycle of 10 days, giving them enough time to punish you for leaving mold, fermentation, and organic matter in which they can lay their eggs. Most fly trap ideas illustrate how to fight them, and some will be a breeding ground for them.Sanitation is the only effective solution. Set these common priority issues:
    • Wash all dishes.
    • Machine wash cloths, or at least wash thoroughly with soap, rinse well and dry them before hanging them (do not leave them in the sink).
    • Keep garbage in a garbage can with closed canopy.
    • Do not throw your food waste in waste baskets.
    • Cover the fruit basket or turn the fruit you want to keep in the refrigerator. Generally raisins, dates and prunes

are the main culprits.

    • Discard all overripe fruit.
    • Wash all open containers of fruit juice, fermented products or vinegar type, for example ketchup, Siracha or cooking wine. Close tightly. Kept in the refrigerator if possible.
    • Clean up crumbs and spills from your cabinets, countertops and flooring.
    • Get rid of all waste - do not re-use garbage bags.
    • Clean the door seals of your refrigerator, the top and bottom of the fridge, especially clean the evaporation pan if it has one.
    • Clean under and around your dishwasher and stove.
    • Discard the water that was used, clean the bucket, and wash cloth, mop ...
    • Remove damp lint from the laundry room.
    • Take your compost and keep your collection bin covered and food additions to your pile buried in garden waste.
    • Do not use manure as fertilizer beer near the house.

Try this simple trap first

  1. After cleaning and removing ALL sources that may attract flies as described above, put about 2-3cm cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar in the bottom of a glass. (Note: the regular white vinegar will not work)
  2. Add a few drops of liquid dish detergent and shake to dissolve.
  3. Place the glass in the night the infested area.
  4. There are many fruit flies dead in the morning.
  5. The flies will also come in the day, but for some strange reason the dark or cooler temperatures at night seem to attract a greater number than those who come during the day.
  6. Flies are attracted to the vinegar due to the smell that resembles fruit rot for them. They will try to approach and feed but will drown with the detergent.

Make a trap with a bowl

  1. Put a piece of old skinless fruit and some wine, or a bit of balsamic vinegar in a bowl.
  2. Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap.
  3. Make many small holes in the plastic with a fork. The fruit flies will come in and can not get out (if the holes are too large, they can escape).

Make a trap with a plastic zip lock bag

  1. Place a few apple slices in a zip lock bag
  2. Leave a small opening to allow its pests to enter. The little beasts will soon be over and around the apple.
  3. Zipper to close the bag and crush each of the critters with your fingers.

Make a trap funnel

  1. Make a cone from a paper web (like a funnel). Cover the outside of the cone with tape to keep it in place.
  2. Check that the cone fits easily in a glass or cup.
  3. Cut the tip of the cone so that you now have a funnel.
  4. Pour a small amount of apple cider vinegar into the glass or cup. (Du Rhum mixed with orange juice also works well - well, half a teaspoon of yeast coffee in water can also suffice)
  5. Insert the funnel into a glass or cup, but do not let the bottom of the funnel touch the liquid. Tape the funnel in two or three places to the outside that there is no gap between the glass and the cone.
  6. Place your newly created trap on a flat surface. The flies will be attracted by the smell of vinegar and fruit are flying into the cone. The flies will slip down the cone and be trapped in the vinegar will drown. If you leave the trap at night, the trapped fruit flies will eventually fall into the vinegar and drown.

Make a trap with a bottle of soda

  1. Remove lid and label from a clean plastic vacuum of a two-liter bottle of soda.
  2. Remove 'carefully' remove the upper third of the bottle by cutting along its circumference, at about the height of the top of the label location.
  3. Put the orange juice or apple cider vinegar in the rest of the bottle.
  4. Flip the cone down and insert it into the bottom of the bottle-shaped.
  5. Fruit flies will find their way into the bottle, but they can not escape. After most flies are trapped inside, cover it in a plastic bag and discard it.

Make a trap using the oven or dishwasher

  1. Remove all available food from the kitchen. Wash dishes, place open items in Ziploc bags or in the refrigerator.
  2. Open the door of your oven and place a piece of fruit (banana or kiwi peels) and let all the night. (DO NOT DO THIS with a gas oven. Electric furnaces only)
  3. Wake up early the next morning and quietly close the oven door.
  4. Turn the oven to 200 ° C for about 10-15 minutes and the majority of your fruit flies will have disappeared.
  5. Clean the oven thoroughly.
  6. Alternative - (easier, no oven cleaning!)
  7. Place a 1-2 cm cider vinegar in a small glass and place it in the dishwasher with the door ajar.
  8. Leave the door slightly ajar overnight.
  9. In the morning, very gently close the door and run a short wash cycle. DO NOT open the door to count flies, otherwise they will escape.

"Use a vacuum cleaner to initiate the process of extermination" '

  1. Initially, there may be a large number of fruit flies. Rather than attempting (unsuccessfully) to crush them, draw them with the hose of your vacuum cleaner. Do not go for it on them. Slowly approach the hose and you will see that they disappear as if by magic. Place your vacuum bag outside of your home. Thereafter, using the method indicated above with apple cider vinegar and two or three drops of dish detergent. You will find the very next day the critters at the bottom of the small basin are in bad shape.

Make a wine trap:

  1. Apply a small amount of sweet wine in a small bowl.
  2. Take your finger tip and put a small amount of dish soap on top, preferably diluted
  3. Barely touching the surface of the wine in the center with your finger.
  4. This breaks the surface of the wine. Fruit flies will be attracted by the smell of wine and will drown in it.Normally, the surface of the wine should have protected them from drowning, but with her gone, drowning them is assured.

Freeze to kill flies and reuse container traps

  1. When a trap contains a lot of flies, simply put it in the freezer for 10 minutes to kill flies. You can then replace the trap without cleaning.
  2. Throw away once the traps are full or after a few days. If you use rotten food, flies will lay eggs in the bait and these will hatch after about a week, so be sure to freeze and / or throw.

The method "I catch and release you"

  1. Place a piece of fruit (preferably rotten) in a large clean jar, the jar small type.
  2. Place the jar near the greatest concentration of flies (ie, whether they are around the fruit basket, put the jar in the fruit basket).
  3. Once you see a bunch of flies interfere in the pot ... VLAM! close the pot or jar overthrow vertically very quickly. You have to be quick or they will all fly away.
  4. Escort the flies out of the house and release them.
  5. Repeat this procedure until no more fly. The idea is that parallel to get rid of the food where it bred, you must get rid of the generation of reproduction. Important: This process may take several days. You must replace the piece of fruit every day because the flies will lay on it and if you let them do after a new outbreak fly wave will arrive.

Method hairdryer

  1. Locate the main area of fruit flies and the nearest power outlet. Take a hairdryer.
  2. Plug the hair dryer, turn it on (preferably at full power) and put the rear end of the dryer, near a fly. It will be aspirated and the fried hairdryer. It is fun and very effective! Try to blow on it with the hot air does not work well, but by sucking them like this, it works wonderfully.

Hairspray

  1. The hairspray also works great for parasitic flies. Just a shot of spray makes them fall to the ground and after a few seconds, their wings will dry and harden.

Method flamethrower

  1. If you're reckless, you can use your bottle of hairspray as a flamethrower.
    • Not to be used in the presence of children !! That could give them bad ideas.
    • The flame produced burns the wings of flies and they fall directly to the ground. Sometimes it can even kill them instantly. Obviously the caution and it is best to go in small strokes to prevent the tank will catch fire and heaters. If you're the kind blundering, this method is not recommended.

Tips

  • If you have a gas stove with a standing pilot, place the trap on the hot part of the stove. This will help spread the smell of vinegar.
  • Make sure to choose the right type of vinegar. White vinegar is not working. Malt vinegar and red wine works, but not as well as cider. The beer can sometimes work well. Balsamic vinegar also works well.Wine works extremely well, and a bottle of wine with wine background can be used without funnel.
  • You can abstain funnel if you place a small piece of dish detergent in the cup with vinegar and mix well.Fruit flies are still attracted by the smell of vinegar, and will be trapped with the detergent. The detergent reduces eased the liquid surface that allows flies to flow more easily and drown.
  • You can give up the traps. Fruit flies dehydrate easily, a small air current usually does the trick.
  • A fruity odor of dishwashing liquid (lemon, etc.) can also attract fruit flies.
  • Bourbon also works. Leave a nearly empty bottle bottom and the bottle will act as a trap funnel.
  • Fruit flies breed and live in warm, moist places such as garbage removal and or sink pipes. A hot water cleaning and regularly will fight against these possibilities. You can also pour ice in the sink overnight.
  • Hang a few of these old sticky paper rolls on the infested area. Ugly, but effective. It is extremely toxic;use with caution and keep out of reach of children.
  • Get rid of all your ripe fruits! Once ripe bananas can be stored in the refrigerator.
  • The foam accumulated inside your sink is a breeding ground for fruit flies. Use a cheap brush and rinsing with warm water to clean the sink every week. Also, never leave your hand in the garbage chute!
  • Tip for bartenders who fight against it constantly. Cover the alcohols which have a spout on them with a small sheet of cellophane. Clean the bottles below the beak with ammonia-based cleaner.
  • Fruit flies are feeling any sudden movement. Approach them slowly with a damp paper towel and you will catch them every time.
  • Leave an empty bottle of beer open and unattended, they will be engulfed in it. Close and discard the bottle.
  • If you use fresh fruit in your trap, make sure to clean them thoroughly every day - the fruit is home to larvae surprisingly quickly. Vinegars and wines do not allow the larvae to survive.
