Do not you love cryptic Windows errors? In this post I will go through some steps you can take to solve the "Host process for windows services stopped working and was closed" error message in Windows.

I wrote about a few, such as "there are no active mixer devices" error message "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" Message "and" runonce.msn .com runonce2.aspx error in IE7. "

Unfortunately, most of these error messages give you any information on the nature of the problem. When getting the Host process error, you may also notice that your Internet connection in Windows slows down considerably and you might have to constantly reboot the computer to fix it.

This error seems to occur because of an incompatibility between a program on your computer and the Windows operating system. There could be many different applications, so you must first determine which program is actually causing the problem. You can do this by consulting the Event Logs on your Windows machine. Here's how.

First go to Start and go to Control Panel.

Now, according to the view, you can either click on Administrative Tools, if you are in Classic View or click System and Maintenance if you are in normal mode.
In Classic mode, you will see an icon for Event Logs or Event Viewer and in normal mode, you will see a link at the bottom called "Show Event Log."
Now browse the Windows folder Newspapers and view the Application and System logs.
Look for events with a red X next to them and that the error word. Look for them at the same time or before you got the "Host process for Windows has stopped working" error message.

method 1

Some people have had this issue with ATI Catalyst Control Center and found numerous errors in their event log. You can then try to find an update for the program or uninstall it if it is not necessary. You can also have this problem with Windows Defender, so be sure to run Windows Update. Also need to uninstall the HP printer software, and to check for other events from Nero, etc.

method 2

An incompatible driver installed on Windows could also cause the error. This could be for a piece of hardware on your system. You can tell if it's a hardware issue by booting in Safe Mode and see if you get the error message. If it is not, then this is definitely some drivers that are loaded when Windows starts. Open the Device Manager to see if there are devices that have errors or warnings.

method 3

If it did not do all you could have a problem with the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) Windows service. If you start getting this message after you did a Windows update, BITS could be the culprit. You will need to follow the instructions in this Microsoft Knowledge Base article on how to repair the BITS file corruption.

method 4

If you see an error in the Event log, which EMDMgmt and a USB stick or any other external storage medium such as a memory card reader, might be causing the problem. For some strange reason, you may have to connect the camera to your computer directly rather than using a card reader.

method 5

A faulty RAM memory stick in your computer could also be involved. You can run a full diagnosis of your computer to make sure your RAM does not have errors. If you find a memory chip with errors, take it out and see if you get the error message. You can download a free application, Memtest86 to test memory on your computer for errors.

We hope that one of the methods of error correction process of the host for you. If not, post a comment and I'll try to help. Enjoy!
