Friends tried to install windows 8 on my Macbook pro 13 late 2011 but when I have to choose the partition that bootcamp did I get an error box that says:
"You can not install windows on this disk. Selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks.
Windows can not be installed on this disk. It is possible that the hardware of this equipment is not capable of booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the BIOS menu of the team "
I was watching tutorials and answers give you is to create the partition from Disk Utility but when I do this bootcamp throws me another error saying can only bootcamp partition to install windows or something.
porfa only came to this pass and I do not.

You are installing Windows 8 in EFI (EFI Boot) mode. And thus does not support BootCamp. You have to use a BIOS installer so you do not throw that error.

On-site Windows 8 I've done, restarting the Mac and press alt, from the DVD two installers are read: EFI boot (it will give error) and Windows (similar to the two disks of the image), you select "Windows" so you do not error. If you select EFI Boot never work unless you delete the partition and create a bootcamp partition directly from the disk utility (no bootcamp). Then install EFI Boot, but from my experience the EFI asking windows 8 is not fully compatible with the mac EFI, and then Windows gives many problems ...

What is strange is that from the usb installer "windows" (not EFI) when I get to choose the partition will not let me continue: Windows can not be installed on this disk. The selected disk has GPT partition style. And no matter how many times or if you format the partition reconvierto XFAT ... will not let me continue the installation ..

If I remember correctly the process is as follows:
-open boot camp and follow the steps, the fun downloads, assign space and insert the Windows disk and restart your computer to start Windows installation.
-the automatic restart to boot into the Windows installer and gives the installation menu, I think in the second step the menu that appears to select the drive you are installing 2 or more drives are listed at the bottom should appear options that says one or more options may already shows you the formatting, then select the disk you assigned to Windows and give format will give a warning to be clear and give accept, thus partition ready to install Windows.
- Finally follow the installation and normal settings and you should have no problems.

I hope help you.

A mi me going all 'correcto'en a new MBP until installation (I understand that is the EFI Boot) until it makes me: Windows can not update boot configuration, installation can not continue ... not let me try install from usb 'windows' as it says it needs an NTFS partition ... which does not give me the option of applying OSX disk. Any idea? :-(

Well prove it with a dvd ... bootcamp is rare you do create a usb 'windows instalador'de not work and when you finish installing blame the partition type in which you try to install a ... dvd and I will say to see such. Fabric.
