The last option deserves more detailed consideration. On almost all Android-based models, the standard recovery utility is pre-installed for service configuration. This utility will help you to unlock your device. Before performing the actions described, please note that after a reset through recovery, all files will be removed from the device memory. The destination of items stored on the microSD card depends on the manufacturer. Therefore, before taking any action, we strongly recommend creating a backup of your data.
You must do the following:
- Turn off the phone completely.
- Press the analog "volume up" and "enable / unlock" buttons.
- After the phone vibrates, release the power button while holding down the "volume up" button until the engineering menu appears.
- After opening Recovery, release the button and select Wipe Data / Factory Reset.
Most of the time, the recovery mode menu is touch sensitive; consequently, clicking the Clear Data button should be done as usual when working with a smartphone device. However, on older models, the menu may not have normal sensor operation. The menu control in this case is carried out as follows:
- select menu items - volume keys;
- confirm the action: the power button.
After the reboot, the phone will reboot and ask you to do the initial system setup. Again, keep in mind that a factory reset deletes all user files stored in the smartphone's memory.
