Step 1: Restart your streaming device.

In most cases, restarting your streaming device should quickly fix the error code UI-800-3. You must completely turn off the device and then unplug it if it is connected to the img power supply. Leave it unplugged for some time, at least a minute or two, before plugging it back in and turning it back on. If you are using a device that has a sleep mode, turn it off completely and make sure it is not in sleep mode.

Step 2: Exit Netflix.

Another thing you can try is to log out of your Netflix account and then log back in after a while. This should be enough to update the data in your Netflix app and fix this problem. On your device, simply tap or click the account name located in the upper right corner of the Netflix home screen, then hit Sign out. If you cannot log out of Netflix using your device or cannot access your account settings for some reason, go to the Netflix website using your browser. Navigate to your Netflix account page, then log out of all your devices to force yourself to log in again. This should sign out of all devices that use your Netflix account.

Step 3: Clear the cache or data of the Netflix app.

Most streaming devices allow you to clear the Netflix app cache and data. This should help resolve the UI-800-3 error. Note that doing this will also delete the titles that you have downloaded to the device.

To clear the Netflix app data, follow the instructions below:

  • From your device's home screen, go to Settings and click General.
  • If you don't see General, click Applications or Applications instead.
  • Touch or click Manage applications , Application manager, or Manage all applications, depending on the device you are using.
  • Scroll down your list of apps and choose Netflix .
  • Click Clear data or Clear storage.
  • Hit OK , then try Netflix again.

If you are using a Mac, you can easily clear the cache using the Mac Repair application. PC users can try the Windows PC Repair Tool.

Step 4: reinstall the Netflix app.

If you are unable to clear the data and cache for your Netflix app on the device, your other option is to uninstall the app and reinstall it. This step is also necessary if clearing the cache using the previous steps does not solve the problem.

To uninstall your Netflix app, head over to your device's app manager and uninstall the app from there. If you are using a smartphone, you can long press the Netflix app and delete it. To reinstall the application, you need to go to the application manager of your device and search for the Netflix application. Download the installer and install the Netflix app. You can do this for smartphones, computers, tablets, Amazon Fire TV / Stick, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, devices like Roku, Nintendo Wii, and Smart TV don't allow you to uninstall the app.

Step 5: Restart your playback device.

Resetting your streaming devices helps restore your device to its default settings. If you are streaming from a Samsung TV, you need to reset your Samsung Smart Hub instead. Please note that doing this will remove all the apps from your device. You need to download those apps again when you set up your device.

Step 6: Restart your Internet.

If the error is caused by a poor internet connection, updating your home network should help fix it. Disconnect your device and unplug your modem and router. Wait at least one minute before plugging them back in and reconnecting your device. Then check if the error has been fixed.
