When you say jump the screen, you mean it gives a flash of light but that is no image to show?
On the other hand, at some point you get to display something on the screen? For example to connect the charger, it shows on the screen the drawing of being loaded or only the LED (if any)?
Not to light and / or display image at some point, to be the screen itself, whereupon if still under warranty, you could wear. Otherwise a service.
