Just one special thing here, log out of google account and clear data, then restart, again log in. (sync on for only one account), in detail..

I tried everything in this forum, and all suggestions from a half dozen other forums, and nothing worked for me. BUT, I figured out a solution that did finally, if the problem persists for anyone else like it did for me (No factory reset required!): First, remove your Google account (no big deal, you can sign back in in a few minutes). Then, go to Settings>Apps>All> Scroll down to the G's until you get the first thing that has Google in it's name. The first one on my phone (galaxy nexus, CM) is called "Google Account Manager". Click on it and hit "Clear Data". Repeat this process for everything Google in the list. Now sign back into your Google account. You should never see that message again! This worked for me, hopefully it will for you too, if any of the previous suggestions haven't already.

2)Switch off your phone

It is recommended every two or three days to turn off his phone for a few minutes at least. This simple manipulation can avoid many problems, and solve some. You can also remove the battery (if it's removable), wait a few minutes and then restart your device. This sounds silly, but this method has yet been proven.

Last resort: reset

If none of the above solutions work, you also remains a last resort: reset your device to factory settings. This will also give it a youth if it tends to slow down the pace. Beware though, this operation will delete all your device data (contacts, sms, settings ...), so remember to make a backup before (the super backup application will do the trick)

Go to your Settings <Backup and Reset
Click Reset to Factory Defaults

This worked perfectly for me! At least so far. I couldn't get any of the other solutions to work for me, but this finally did it! Thank you! :)

This does seem to work if you keep at it long enough. In my case (Moto-g 2nd gen) the dreaded message mostly re-appeared in an instant ofter pressing OK. (I was hitting OK and frantically trying get the next step in before "IT" came back!) I think that basically uninstalling, killing, leaving, closing and disabling everything "Google" is the thing that has to be done  (leaving nothing out and getting rid of all data and caches) before restarting the phone or device. [BUT KEEP THE GOOGLE KEYBOARD INSTALLED - unless you have one you can plug in. Or you will have real problem later.] All this Google stuff can then be resurrected and nothing really important is likely to be lost. Hopefully Google themselves will come up with a solution to this eventually!
by
Thank you very much, Milan Tiwari!!! This solution was the only one that PERFECTLY  worked for me!!!
Tip: No need to reinstall your Android, just  follow this instruction!!!
by
Awesome fix.. only thing that has worked!

Please write comments with device model

It works!!! But I don't think you should repeat it for all google apps. You just need to clear the data of Google Play Service.

In 95% of cases, just go to Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications, then click on the All button in the bottom of the list of applications to find the service you disabled. Then simply turn them on. This should solve the problem.

For prevention you can also clear the cache. To do this, go to the same item Application and click Delete Data \ Clear the cache.

Bug fixes "process com.google.process.gapps suddenly stopped"

After that supercharge your smartphone or tablet and enjoy. More Errors should not occur.

It is worth noting that it is completely safe method to solve the problem. When cleaning the data and cache, you will not lose any personal information, but only to remove the remains from the previous versions of the code itself cache.

If you have helped our advice - please share this material with your friends. And if and then you google.gapps process stops unexpectedly, it is possible you will only firmware smartphone or a full reset it to its factory state. If a full reset, you lose absolutely all the information that is available on your gadget, so before that it is necessary to keep all your data and synchronize them as far as possible. How to do this can be found in the detailed instructions.

I have an HTC One S with Android 4.1.1 and have come up this post because I had the same problem. In my case the problem appeared because I started a big shock and I realized that I had turned on wifi, so I canceled manually stopping. In Applications-> all-> Download Manager instead of "Clear Data" I clicked on "Disable", so he gave me this error and then blocked me the Play Store. Simply returning to Settings-> Applications-> Download Manager and clicking on "Clear Data" (to stop failed downloads) and returning to "Enable" I solved the problem. Hope that helps.
by
I tried the same but didn't work yet.. Please suggest any other solution really frustrated with that error..
Thanks

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. Huawei Honor 6. Error popping up 2 secs after every time I OK'd it. Phone unusable. This is the only fix that worked after trying all the others out there. Much appreciated.

How do you remove your Google account?
by
Samsung GS6 edge...this was really freaking annoying.....it stopped popping up after i clear the data for google play services
by
My moto g 2nd gen has the same problem and none of the above tricks have helped even after uninstalling everthing google in my fone
by
this worked perfect for my samsung galaxy 6 edge i recently bought...at first i was kinda scared because it kept popping up but bam this was the solver :)
by
What worked for me, eventually, was following the OP's advice, and the pop-up warning ceased at Google Services Framework, which, having no "clear data" button, had a "manage data" button instead.  I tapped that (heh), and on the next screen was the "clear data" button.  Warning message cleared, it's been approx. 4 min.s so far, and hasn't returned.

Believe me, four minutes of no warning message is four minutes of sheer lack of frustration.  ;-D

I am using some kind of tablet my husband got for me last year, running on Android, as well it might, not being an i-Anything.  Just my input, take it as the non-techy comment it surely is.
by
Under Settings - Apps - All - download manager, according to Google is also a mistake, but rather on S3, but you can still watch times.
Hmm, more ideas I have not, unfortunately, that are so typical sources of error.
Personally would simply make a FullWipe, a clean fresh system is never bad and the 15min "work" ..
by
It was google play services that was causing the error for me. Thanks
by (201k points)
in any case it is related to synchronization. We must either clean the cache disabled or include boot. I consistently check the cache of all applications associated with the load (mainly social. Network). I found the cache in Google+. Clean, everything worked

Thank you, worked  i get rid of error  without uninstalling my apps yuppieee

See if you got updated version of google play to last. The other thing I recommend is to do as this error, go to descend activate applications and everything you have disabled. After deactivating walks to locate Until which is what you hang up.
I also found that you try these steps:

1) Go to Settings
2) Application Manager
3) Seek Google Play Store
4) Enter and put "Uninstall" (do not worry, do not delete the application updates we have, only the Google Play Store, any updates that we descended with Google Play Store will be affected)
5) Re-enter to Google Play Store and will have the previous version, which goes perfect and leaves update all apps. Then it updates itself with the new.
by
worked - it was google services that was the problem.

it was google services on my device too. (moto g 2nd generation)

Delicious! Erase all Google user-(buffer)-info and you have a clean phone....working. I'm on a OnePlusOne an just decided to put 5.1.1 on it (unofficial version), rooted. Had also problems finding the right GAPPs.  Look for 'Dirty Unicorns' for the latest versions...

Thank you so much for this!

After seeing so many places repeating the same "disable/reenable the download manger" or "reset your app preferences/clear a bunch of caches" stuff, none of which actually helped for me... removing/readding my Google account was what it took, and this message has stopped coming up for me!
by
Google play services did it. it was a pain disabling and deleting every google tab. the message was popping up incessantly….finally i got to google play services and it stopped when i disabled it…..whew

This has worked for me too!

1. Menu > Settings > Apps > All apps > Google Play Store > Uninstall
2. Menu > Settings > Apps > All apps > Google Play Store > Clear cache
3. Repeat for Google Play Services & Google Play Music.

This resets only the Google Play apps back to their factory settings, without having to do a full factory swipe on your phone!

How to fix the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped error solution

It's actually quite easy to fix. It should not really matter what device this error, or what application / function occurred, just follow these simple steps:

1. Go to MENU
2. Go to settings
3. Go to applications
4. Within ALL (All) Search DOWNLOAD MANAGER (or downlad Manager).
5. turn it off and turn it back to activate

Menu-> Settings-> Applications-> All-> Download manager (Descatívalo and activate).

Good night, my Motorola g2, I suddenly off and I put x loading case, and now I get all the time,,, is to arrest the Google application and puts accept, give and nothing like this all the time. . Solution ....?,,,, Thanks ..
by
didnt work for me either....
by (201k points)
The message only gave me two options: Report or OK.
Selecting Report, opens a form to send the error to Google, but immediately comes out again that annoying com.google.process.gapps has stopped process, preventing practically write anything or navigate the phone menus.
By selecting OK, the message is deleted but reappears two seconds. Therefore leaves the phone inoperable. You can spend all day giving the message OK will rise again.

Also remember that the message was sometimes "has stopped Play Store application." And the same options, inform or accept. With the same result "loop".

What is Android greatest fault right?

It is my opinion, as I am not the only person that has happened. It seems to be a bug in Android widespread and a novice user can go crazy with this error :)
All I remember doing that can have some relationship has been stop an application manually (I think some language pack voice dictation by Google) because at that time had no wifi and I wanted to stop. The strange thing is that the error message appeared a few hours later.

Luckily, fixing this problem is easily solved. Although it is normal to pass first a hard time thinking that your phone has been totally useless because the error message still appears even restarting the phone (at least in my case).
What have I done was the following:

I entered my phone Settings.
In Settings, I went to Applications.
Applications I select All to show me those installed and running.
In All Apps, I'm going to end and there appears "Download" or "Download Manager" curiously Off.
Select the application and give it to Enable.

Android Download Manager Error google.process.gapps play store

From that moment the message disappeared and has not returned to show on screen, so the phone returns to normal operation.
Why is disabled this application? Maybe that's what I told you before or you may be deshabilitase alone, do not know.
by (26.3k points)
apply the best solution at the above
by
just happened, and it does not erase the data cache all applications, simplimente that you see in the "all" you have to run the application that says "Download" because here? it is seen that this process gives this error when you download something and interrupt, as a kind of bug is created in the process, well at first would have to go off (des enabled) what habilitas, if not, delete data cache, the habilitas des and you re-enable not have that problem again, I come from a S3 mini !! Greetings to all !! hope you like my m served as
by (201k points)
Interestingly I spend my 2 days ago ... I gave many turns of thousands d ways. To clear the d google account and went back to get and nothing. Clear application data (google), updates and nothing. Alternatively last reflash over the same version of firm to wipe cache and wipe davlik cache (without deleting anything) and followed the same.
Until q resorted to the last alternative, delete everything and start from scratch.
Wipe data from scratch and everything returned to normal.
In my case that was the way unika q everything returned to normal after d have tried many alternatives

Thanks,
Worked on Google Nexus after going to apps, and clearing cache for google play store. I had previously deleted several apps in trying to remove the error, but your method seem to be the only one that worked.

Hi , maybe you should restore the device to factory but remember to backup applications.

A greeting!

Hello. By what other name I can identify "download manager" or "manager donwload" because I does not appear either. ALL I get into but not out with that name. I have many problems with each ROM install. I stop all processes, I close all apps installed. I do not know if it's a memory problem or what. I get that the SD is occupied almost entirely when I have not much there.
by
thank you very much for answering !! Delete some applications you no longer use or that neither stops are: P and the error keeps coming .. Where I search application to delete cache? I guess it's the only thing left to do me ..
by
depends on the terminal you have. Look it as "Download" and if you have any download manager installed you can download it as I mentioned above. The problems you mention the ROM are another matter. Maybe you should make a backup and return the terminal to factory condition. A greeting!
by
I have read and done everything listed, including deletion of the cache with a program called Clean Master q. As there is no way to stop the process stand or think the problem is resolved. I've even come to uninstall the programs that deal with Google and reinstall them. As there is no way to fix it. I have a Samsung Galaxy SII.
If you can help I'd appreciate it.
thanks

Hi, try to do the following:

Go to Settings / Application Manager / press the menu button (on the phone to the left of the home button, it looks like a page ..), then click reset application preferences.

Hello,
after a desperate cause research for "com.google.process.gapps" I came to this site and had tried as described above with my S3, the procedure - unfortunately appeared the error message after an hour aggressive again. By thinking I remembered that I had stopped the apps 'calendar u. Phone' for days earlier (from persönlichm.Grnd) Now I have this "activated" again, and lo and behold, the error message is gone.
by
There are many reasons why this error jumps, I have the same cell two weeks ago and tried all the solutions listed in google and in all forums. Unfortunately, I still see the error. One possible solution is to go into Settings> Applications, delete the cache and data of all google applications (Gmail, Google+, Maps, etc ...) After your Google removes the phone, reboot and you logueas of again from scratch. To me it worked me a couple of hours, but apparently there is a problem with the Play Store.

I wish you luck

It is an error during the update of the app.

To solve it you have to uninstall all updates Google Play.

1. In Settings

2. We go into Applications

3. Select Manage Applications

4. On the top tab, select All

5. We click on Google Play

6. We click on uninstall updates
by
still the same.

This answer is found by internet

Some users have problems with com.google.process.gapps process, as this stops and, thus, some development stop working (and when it starts, is something that happens frequently). This is due to instability of the operating system, could happen both having a terminal of the Nexus range as someone with one of the Samsung Galaxy.

Well, we indicate steps to try to solve this easily without having to reboot the device, which moreover if persistence is high before or after may have to be made. But, perhaps, with the options then we may need is not bequeath to this end and that their effectiveness is quite high.

Disable download manager

This is a first option, to be used when applying specifically what is the cause of stability problems com.google.process.gapps process is unknown. The first thing you should do is access the settings of the affected terminal, the access method is indifferent. Now find the Applications Manager section, select the All option. You must go scrolling across the screen until you find an application called Download Manager.

Click on it and seeks called Disable button, which is what you should use to perform the process in question. Now enable the service, to confirm that everything goes well, repeat the operation once more, leaving about five seconds between each action. This, in principle, should help the problem with the process com.google.process.gapps correct.

Deletes a specific application to clear the cache

If you know perfectly when the stability problem occurs in the process, ideally directly attack this because it will be a specific application which is straining the Android operating system. Let's assume in this case that failure comes from Shazam.

Accessing Managed applications as explained in the previous section, seek development specifically in this case Shazam. Once located you click on it and in the same place that was the Disable button will now be Uninstall. Use it and the application is removed from the terminal. Now, reboot the device to wipe cache and, if necessary, you can reinstall it deleted, since in principle should no longer give more problems.

Restarts association preferences applications

Finally, before taking a more serious determination on the Android device to correct the problem of stability of com.google.process.gapps process. You can do this step that is sometimes effective. To do this, access the Managed Application and click on the Menu button, an option called Reset Preferences appears. Use it and now have to go indicated the operating system what type of application should be used in each case, rather than with the regular use of the terminal is done smoothly.

Other tricks for your device with Google's operating system can meet this Android Help section. We hope you find more than one that helps you.

You have to get to the source of the error, watching. This error is caused by synchronization with Google account. In the synchronization settings Google account to tick things go testing and synchronizing until you disappear and the error appears. In my case synchronization markers Internet, I started carrying a folder and problems. I deleted the data in the Internet application and timing worked again.
